Introduction

Hello to anyone that finds this simple little blog. Please, call me sil! It's a nick given to me by my best friend who is unfortunately no longer with us, in this world anyway ;)

I'm a single mom of two beautiful girls aged 8 and almost 10. This blog will be about my daily trials and tribulations - a diary of sorts. Being a single mom is tough, and my personal issues don't make it any easier, lol.

Currently I'm dealing with a heartache that won't seem to go away. I'm trying hard not to let this further entrench my trust issues with people in general, but it's a tough road. I also have to deal with the father of my children - a controlling ass who loves his girls, but refuses to take financial responisibility or even try to get along with their mother. I used to be very active in a couple of online communities, but am finding myself enjoying it less and less. And I'm trying very hard not to let depression creep back in to control me again. Lastly, I'm working very hard at organizing my home-life. I'm no Martha Stewart and need to organize and develop routines and structure into our home life.

I'm sure I'll be getting into all of these things a lot deeper as my blog progresses. I'm not telling anyone about this blog other than one friend - we'll just see who happens along and I am very interested to see what strangers looking in from the outside have to say about my life, how I'm handling, or not handling things, and where they think I can make changes to improve my life. Should be an interesting experiment! LOL!

I will not tolerate flamers, and if you're one of those, you're comments will be promptly deleted w/o affecting me in the least. I'm well aware of internet trolls and will not engage them with a single word - that's jut not my thing. But I do welcome all other comments and only ask that you word them with the same respect I will give to you. I'm a human being with feelings and emotions and ask you be mindful of those in your comments. Constructive criticism is welcome and will be considered thoughtfully if delivered respectfully.

So, let's see how this works out!
ttyl! :D
